Dr. Stephen D. Van Beek is president and CEO of the Eno Transportation Foundation, a non-profit private foundation with the mission of improving transportation policy and the industry’s public and private leadership. Van Beek’s multimodal career includes prior positions with Jacobs Consultancy, an aviation management consulting firm; Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA); as the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Associate Deputy Secretary and Director of its Office of Intermodalism; and as a tenured professor. Van Beek earned his M.A. and Ph.D in Government and Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia and his B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He serves as a senior transport advisor to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization in Brussels and is a board member and teaches with the Intermodal Transportation Institute at the University of Denver.
