The South-East European Conference & Exhibition “Save the Planet” is a great opportunity for the leading companies in the sectors to bring modern technologies, products and services to the Region, to find new partners and clients. The Conference

This year special accent will be put on the Waste-to-Energy session with 15 speakers from 10 countries: Germany, Austria, Romania, Slovenia, Japan, Canada, USA, UK, Serbia and Switzerland.  

For a sustainable waste an energy management it is important to acknowledge that waste is an important resource that should be utilised, high quality recycling and energy recovery complement one another. Vinzenz Schulte form ITAD e.V, Germany, will discuss the current barriers to waste-to-energy. They should be overcome to exploit the full potential of the waste.

Franz Neubacher form UV&P will present the state-of-the art in waste-to-energy in Austria. Waste-to-Energy plants with cogeneration of electricity plus year-round heat utilization achieve two goals: environmentally safe treatment of waste and substitution for consumption of fossil fuels, leading also to a substantial reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.

How to produce useful fuels and electricity from biomass and waste resources? These questions will answer Kunio Yoshikawa from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan, which is developing and commercializing total technologies to convert unutilized resources such as solid wastes and biomass into high value added energy resources. Cities without garbage and industry without waste – it is possible? The presentation of Peter Rakin from IHIS Science & Technology Park Zemun, Serbia, will focus on the two step plasma treatment of waste - the best energy efficient and ecologically friendly system ever designed.
