Green Government Summit Coming Soon
From water conservation and climate change to electric cars and energy efficiency – sustainability has moved from concept to implementation. California government is leading the way - and in many cases, sustainability is either being mandated or highly incentivized. The 2011 Green California Summit, the largest green government conference and exposition, is taking place at the Sacramento Convention Center April 18-20. April 18 is a pre-Summit day with in-depth full-day workshops and other special events. April 19 & 20 are the Summit and Expo dates.
The Green California Summit is the place to learn directly from the policy makers, government agencies, facilities managers, architects, engineers and product suppliers what the path ahead looks like and how to make the most of what’s coming. Educational sessions will cover topics ranging from energy efficiency and green purchasing, to plans for a “smart grid” and green economic development. New for 2011 is the “CALGreen Academy,” a special series of sessions focused on California’s new mandatory green building code.
The Summit, now in its fifth year, will feature over 200 exhibitors, and more than 6,000 attendees are expected. The April 19 program will include the fourth annual Green California Leadership Awards, an event that acknowledges projects exemplifying the best of green California.
Join with state and local government officials, green tech companies and organizations to discover your part in the greening of California. Group discounts available; keynotes and exhibition are free to registered attendees.
