What role can innovative information technology (IT) and design play in improving energy efficiency and enhancing people’s lives?
Our everyday behavior is shaped and supported by the technology we use. Buildings are responsible for almost half (48%) of all US greenhouse gas emissions annually. Seventy-six percent of all electricity generated by U.S. power plants goes to supply the building sector. Energy efficiency is by far the cheapest, fastest and easiest way to reduce emissions and energy costs. Sweden has been a pioneer in the area of combining IT and design to develop services for more efficient energy use in homes and commercial buildings, but interest in the area is growing and much is happening, particularly in the U.S.
Please join the Embassy of Sweden for an evening seminar and reception with American and Swedish experts who will discuss how to seamlessly integrate beautiful design and cutting edge technological solutions and services in buildings for a better quality of life.
