EE Noon is a regular series of brown-bag lunch seminars in which industry leaders share their expertise about energy efficiency. The seminars feature short presentations followed by a question and answer session.

Guiding Market Introduction of Quality Solid-State Lighting

As new solid-state lighting (SSL) products rapidly emerge on the market, we see a wide range of performance and quality. How do you know if a product will perform as the manufacturer claims? Many people look to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to provide timely, trusted, and unbiased information on the latest technology advances and trends.

DOE’s strategy to accelerate market introduction of high quality, energy-efficient SSL solutions draws on key partnerships with the SSL industry, research community, standards setting organizations, energy efficiency groups, utilities, and others, as well as lessons learned from the past. Learn how DOE’s CALiPER testing, GATEWAY demonstrations, ENERGY STAR Program for SSL, Quality Advocates initiative, and other activities can help accelerate your learning curve and differentiate quality SSL products on the market.
