ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Association of Climate Change Officers is inviting climate change leadership from industry, academia, non-profit communities and government for a 2-day program designed to further establish a forum for collaboration and thought leadership.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
Learn how Federal agencies, sub-national leaders, industry and academia are addressing climate change, from the greenhouse gas emissions related to their operations to the impacts of climate change and related business/market/political forces on their operations and jurisdictions.
7 tracks of working group breakout sessions: Redefining and Inspiring Climate Leadership; Adaptation; Energy Efficiency; Modernizing the Workforce; Transportation, Fleet Management and Vehicle Technologies; Government; and Lifecycle of Operations.
Plenary and working group discussions will include:
o shaping climate policy;
o communicating science and climate impacts;
o overcoming organizational and industry barriers;
o developing standards, metrics and methodologies;
o enterprise governance and change management;
o public/private partnerships;
o operationalizing supply chain programs;
o ocean impacts and implications;
o the role subnational government and regional collaboration;
o managing waste and intelligent design;
o developing and managing information systems;
o making the business case for climate response;
o monetizing energy and GHG emissions;
o workforce education and training; and
o developing and managing modern waste systems
The Association of Climate Change Officers is a 501(c)(6) non-profit professional development and membership organization for executives and officials worldwide addressing the business, economic and environmental implications of climate change. With members in industry, government, academia and the non-profit community, ACCO provides a collaborative forum enabling the exchange of best practices, nontraditional partnerships and a neutral environment for addressing challenges and opportunities related to climate change.
