2011 Great Energy Efficiency Day

On February 16th in the Nation's Capital, over 300 industry leaders gathered to discuss why energy efficiency is the most viable way for the 112th Congress to embrace a clean energy economy. Along with keynote addresses from members of Congress, there were four panels focused on energy efficiency legislation opportunities for:

  • Job creation and workforce training;
  • Building codes and retrofits;
  • Industrial incentives and technologies; and
  • Standards and labeling.

Launched in 2004, Great Energy Efficiency Day has quickly become a “must attend” discussion on the need for, and benefits of, energy efficiency. This year was no different, drawing stakeholders from business, industry, government, academia, the media and the public interest sector. The event featured  panel sessions with leading voices in energy efficiency and keynote addresses from congressional members.
