January 7, 2010 – The Building Codes Assistance Project (BCAP) is seeking partners for its Ten Places to Watch in 2010, a campaign which looks at states and cities committed to promoting energy-efficient buildings through code work.
Ten Places to Watch in 2010 works with vested parties in selected localities, and keeps a finger on the pulse of policy development. Through BCAP's new online energy codes network OCEAN, the campaign monitors participants' successes and failures while encouraging dialogue with interested outside organizations. Additionally, the campaign promotes successful policies and activities as best practices.
Through this campaign, participating localities will gain publicity and recognition for their hard work and dedication in the area of efficient codes, as well as support from BCAP in advancing their goals. They will also benefit from regular code updates, feedback from national experts and other stakeholders and exposure at national and regional conferences attended by BCAP staff and allies.
