Teams from 245 buildings across the country are competing to use the least amount of energy as part of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)’s ENERGY STAR National Building Competition.

While benchmarking their building’s monthly energy use, the teams will make improvements to their energy performance and share their progress through July, when EPA will narrow the group to a select few finalists. These finalists will compete to reduce the most energy use by November, when EPA will recognize the winner.
