The Digital Energy Solutions Campaign (DESC) recently launched its website, including a Q&A with Green Leaders interview of Alliance President Kateri Callahan. Callahan discussed the tremendous contribution of information and communication technologies (ICT) in advancing energy efficiency across the economy and the vast potential for the digital revolution to fuel the energy efficiency and clean energy revolution.
DESC is a collaborative of information and communication technology companies and associations, non-governmental organizations and other stakeholders who recognize the vital role that ICT plays in improving our environment and driving long-term economic growth. DESC works to advance policies that help drive sustainable economic growth through ICT-enabled energy efficiency and clean energy innovation.
Among DESC’s corporate members are Alliance Associates AT&T, Dell, Intel, Johnson Controls, and Schneider Electric. Along with the Alliance, DESC’s non-governmental organization affiliates include Alliance Associates the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) and the GridWise Alliance.
The Alliance is an active participant in DESC, working to further policies that unleash the potential for ICT to advance energy efficiency across the economy.
