As energy efficiency continues to garner support from businesses and governments worldwide, Johnson Controls Inc. and the U.S. Energy Association are honoring those who have dedicated their careers to energy efficiency.

Among the 22 professionals to join the new Energy Efficiency Hall of Fame are Alliance President Kateri Callahan; Board Co-Chair James E. Rogers (president and CEO, Duke Energy); Board Member Thomas R. Kuhn (president, Edison Electric Institute); Board Honorary Vice-Chair Senator Byron Dorgan (D-N.D.); and former Board Member Tim Wirth (president, U.N. Foundation).

The Energy Efficiency Forum Hall of Fame recognizes outstanding leadership in energy efficiency. It honors professionals who have advanced the Energy Efficiency Forum's mission "to be the premier forum that promotes an energy efficiency ethic through the presentation of national and worldwide views on energy efficiency and the resulting impact on the environment, national security and economic growth."

The inaugural Energy Efficiency Hall of Fame event takes place June 15 in Washington DC and will commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Energy Efficiency Forum, the first event of its type to convene politicians, business leaders and non-governmental organizations to promote energy efficiency. The forum will take place the following day at the National Press Club.

The Alliance would like to congratulate all of the new hall of fame inductees, particularly those who have extended their time and effort to support the Alliance's work at home and abroad.
