Alliance Represented on Board of the National Fenestration Rating Council

The Alliance is proud to announce the recent appointment of Nils Petermann to the Board of the NFRC, which announced the election results for its 2008-2009 Board of Directors during the opening session of the Fall Membership Meeting last week. Nils will join the Board for one year.

A Senior Program Associate with the Buildings and Utilities Team and veritable fenestration expert, Nils started working at the Alliance in 2005 as an intern, and has since pursued the cause of energy efficiency in windows with considerable passion. He is an active member of the Efficient Windows Collaborative, a group of window manufacturers and advocates committed to the energy-efficient design and production of windows.

Says Nils of his appointment, "NFRC’s mission is to provide useful and credible information about fenestration energy performance to end users. I’m excited to be on the NFRC board at a time when there is a rapidly growing demand for such information." The Alliance congratulates Nils on his new post, and is certain the NFRC Board will benefit from his participation.
