The media regularly quote the Alliance's in-house experts and feature the Alliance's accomplishments in energy efficiency. The latest media coverage of the Alliance includes:

  • Last week the House of Representatives failed to muster the required 2/3 majority needed under special rules to pass the so-called BULB Act, which would have repealed the energy-efficient lighting standards enacted on a bipartisan basis in 2007. The hot topic sparked a lot of media interest, and Alliance experts were quoted in a Climate Wire story posted by The New York Times and by the Miami Herald, D.C.’s NBC Washington, Grist and Consumer Reports.
  • The Alliance was also quoted by The Hill in a broader appliance standards story.
  • The Alliance’s support for the Energy Savings and Industrial Competitiveness Act, S. 1000, cosponsored by Honorary Alliance Board Chair Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.) and Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio) was covered by ApplianceMagazine.com, as the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee approved the bill on a bipartisan 18-3 vote.
