- The new bipartisan energy efficiency bill was rolled out by Sens. Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.) and Rob Portman (R-Ohio) – with support from the Alliance – would offer appliance standards and job growth, as documented by Politico, E&E News [by subscriptions only], Platts Energy Week, Appliance Magazine and TMCnet.com The bill aims to help the United States regain its economic footing and global leadership by deploying energy efficiency widely across the nation.
- EE Global's Extreme Efficiency Makeover earned recognition for retrofiting the residence of the U.S. ambassador to Belgium by AOL Energy, which commended the Alliance's informational video for its broader applicability.
- Energy Manager Magazine referenced the Alliance in its January-March issue, which reported the Alliance's involvement in the implementation of municipal water and energy efficiency projects in India.
- The Alliance's Green Schools program caught the attention of Long Beach, California's Daily Pilot when they helped effectively save Mariners Elementary School $2,637 on their electric bill, lowering their average usage by 13.6%.
