As part of President Obama’s National Export Initiative (NEI) – which aims to double U.S. exports over five years and create jobs in the United States – the U.S. Government seeks input from interested parties about how it can better help U.S. businesses to export energy efficiency and renewable energy technology, with emphasis on
- Impediments faced by exporters of relevant goods and services;
- Effectiveness of government programs supporting exports, (including specific experiences);
- Ways the government can better support exports of U.S. goods and services related to renewable energy and energy efficiency; and
- Federal activities and programs that would benefit from increased interagency cooperation.
This input will be used to help guide the interagency Trade Promotion Coordinating Committee in its formulation of a renewable energy and energy efficiency export strategy that will support the NEI.
