Alliance to Host APEC Workshop in March

The Alliance has organized the Workshop on Policies that Promote Energy Efficiency in Transport on behalf of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Energy Working Group to take place on March 24 and 25 at the APEC Secretariat offices in Singapore. At its core is an Alliance report produced for APEC which surveyed many of the policies that promote energy-efficient transportation systems in APEC economies. The workshop also will address how robust planning and government policies can optimize both operational and transportation efficiency, resulting in reduced air pollution, emissions, energy waste and dependence on oil imports.

This unique workshop will be attended by policy-makers and international experts from the 21 APEC member economies who are gathering on March 24 and 25 to share best practices and inform future policymakers about technologies and programs designed to improve energy efficiency in transport.
