During my presentation, which was moderated by former CNN reporter Jackie Schechner, I spoke about the importance of energy efficiency in the corporate sector, and how companies such as Dow Chemical and Wal-Mart have successfully applied energy efficiency to their business strategies. I also highlighted a great program facilitated by the Department of Energy called ‘Save Energy Now’, which offers companies energy audits and thorough consultations about how to implement energy efficient practices, thus enabling companies to save remarkable amounts of resources and money – not to mention avoid CO2 emissions! I highly recommend you visit the site (www.virtualenergyforum.com) and have a look at the Alliance’s ‘virtual booth’. What’s so great about this event is the energy it saved by being held online: 11,384,272 lbs of CO2 in airplane, hotel and automobile emissions. A virtual success! Download Presentation File

On June 10, I had the opportunity to speak at a truly unique event called the Virtual Energy Forum (VEF). A two day online-only event, VEF focused on how leading companies and institutions can adopt better energy management practices to cut cost, while at the same time adopting clean energy alternatives. Featured speakers presented alternative energy technologies, policies, and best practices in a live, interactive environment.
