The Canadian Energy Efficiency Alliance
|
The Canadian Energy Efficiency Alliance (CEEA) is a broad-based, not-for-profit organization established in 1995 to promote energy efficiency and improved environmental protection in Canada. The Alliance works in partnership with manufacturers, utilities, governments, builders, labor, consumer groups, and environmental organizations to facilitate the adoption of energy-efficiency measures throughout Canada. With its broad based corporate support, the Alliance works on several levels to ensure economic growth in a sustainable environment.
In 1998 the Alliance created EnerQuality Corporation as a for-profit corporation in partnership with the Ontario Home Builders Association to manage and expand the R-2000 and EnergyStar Programs for new home construction in Ontario.
