EPS Capital Corp. is a US-based energy-efficiency project development and financing company that provides consulting services to energy services companies (“ESCOs”), end use facility owners, and financial entities in targeted international markets. The Principals of EPS Capital have been active in the performance contracting ESCO industry since its inception in the U.S. in 1981, and they have formed ESCOs in 10 countries and developed energy-efficiency projects (“EEPs”) in over 25 countries. Most recently, EPS Capital formed and is managing a joint venture Hong Kong based company that will have a $100 million facility to finance EEPs for ESCOs in mainland China on a paid-from-savings basis.
EPS Capital has gained unique international experience with market development, sales, financing and the implementation of EEPs within industrial, healthcare and large energy-consuming facilities. Most of EPS Capital’s experience has been on actually financing and implementing performance-based EEPs in developing markets, which has required the principals of EPS Capital to create financing and engineering structures that met very challenging local and international bank requirements. Projects included combined heat and power, water and wastewater treatment, district heating, bagasse and biomass cogeneration, and a variety of furnace-based and virtually all other energy savings technologies in most types of heavy industrial process plants. Services provided by EPS Capital include but are not limited to energy utilization analyses, risk assessment, contract and financing structuring, non-recourse project financing and the development of measurement and verification protocols for tracking savings performance in comlex industrial processes.
