CMC Energy Services is the leading residential energy-efficiency company in the country. Established in 1977, CMC combines research, design, implementation and evaluation to respond to the needs for improved energy efficiency in existing homes.

To meet today’s ambitious energy efficiency goals, CMC created the Home Tune-uP program, the only detailed on-site energy audit available nationwide. Over 1500 home inspectors have been trained by CMC to conduct home energy audits, with Kaplan/ITA schools planning to train up to 5,000 additional Tune-uP inspectors each year. Our goal is to reach 5 million homes each year and to reduce energy use by an average of 25% in these homes. To persuade homeowners to “Switch-to-Efficiency”, the Tune-uP Report lists the group of improvements that will save more than they cost when financed.

CMC also administers two award winning public benefits programs, administered the installation of 250 solar water heaters on income-eligible homes, and provides inspectors to verify savings for DSM programs.
