CALMAC is a leading manufacturer of IceBank® Thermal Energy Storage (TES) tanks, today’s efficient cooling system. Ice is generated using efficient and plentiful nighttime electricity, stored in IceBank tanks, then used the following day to cool facilities. Used in over 3.300 projects worldwide, IceBank tanks free up the electric grid, simply by shifting the energy-intensive task of cooling to off-peak hours. Shifting ‘off-peak’ reduces energy costs, conserves natural resources, and lowers emissions because off-peak electricity is more efficient to generate and deliver.
