California Climate Action Registry
|
The California Climate Action Registry was established by California law as a non-profit, voluntary registry for greenhouse gas emissions. The Registry is intended to help companies and organizations establish baselines against which future voluntary reductions could be applied in the instance of possible future mandatory reductions requirements. The Registry encourages voluntary actions to increase energy efficiency and decrease greenhouse gas emissions and has developed a general protocol and additional industry-specific protocols which give guidance on how to inventory emissions. Current participants include businesses, non-profit organizations, municipalities, state agencies and other entities.
