Barnstable County is committed to promoting efficient electricity use and to reducing energy bills, and to this end, provides information on the Cape Light Compact’s energyefficiency programs, enables on-line enrollment, and provides links to other relevant sites that provide information on other energy-efficiency measures and services. The Cape Light Compact offers a complete package of energyefficiency services for residential, commercial, industrial and governmental customers. The purpose of the Cape Light Compact is to advance the interests of consumers in a competitive electric supply market, including the promotion of energy efficiency. Each participating municipality has a representative on the Compact Governing Board, which sets policy and works with technical and legal support to put the Cape Light Compact programs in place.
