Media Relations Associate
Liz Mayes joined the Alliance to Save Energy in November 2015, supporting the Communications team as a Media Relations Associate. In her role at the Alliance, she helps promote energy efficiency to the media, public, and policymakers.
She brings to the role a variety of experiences in the private and public sector. Most recently, she worked with the U.S. Green Building Council on initiatives relating to green schools and grassroots movement building. Prior to that, she interned in U.S. Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid’s press shop, where she gained a passion for advocacy- and issue-oriented communications work. She graduated with a degree in English from BYU’s College of Humanities.
