In order to enhance financiers’ understanding of the role of well-documented energy savings in enhancing the lending capacity and being used as collateral for the financing of energy efficiency projects, EPS Capital Corp., in collaboration with EVO, will be providing training based on EVO's International Energy Efficiency Financing Protocol (IEEFP).
The first US training will be held in conjunction with the 35th World Energy Engineering Congress (WEEC) in Atlanta, Georgia:
The first two events in Canada will be conducted by the Canadian Institute for Energy Training (CIET):
- Toronto - November 6, 2012
- Vancouver -November 8, 2012
EVO developed the IEEFP to provide guidelines and capacity building to Local Financing Institutions (LFIs) around the world on how to evaluate and finance energy efficiency savings-based projects (Energy Savings Projects or ESPs). The IEEFP’s objective – and focus of related training is to create a better understanding by LFIs and other global stakeholders on how ESPs generate sustainable savings from existing operating expenses of end-use consumers, and how this equates to new cash flow and increased credit capacity for them to repay ESP loans.
CIET also provides Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP) training and has offered a wide range of energy and water efficiency management training programs for industrial, commercial and institutional organizations for nearly twenty years.
