The Alliance believes efficiency is the most cost-effective way to use energy. To carry out our mission of creating an energy-efficient world, we:
- Research science, finances and legislation;
- Educate the public on how to live and work energy efficiently;
- Advocate for policies that minimize costs to society and lessen greenhouse gas emissions;
- Design and implement energy efficiency projects;
- Promote technology development and deployment; and
- Build public-private partnerships in the United States and throughout the world.
A strength of the Alliance is the ability to bring various constituencies together to move the world toward a more energy-efficient, sustainable future. Funding comes from corporate contributions and grants from foundations and government agencies.
